About me

Leadership and systems change, Nova Scotia politics and geopolitics, economy and energy, war and peace, local food, family and friends… and whatever else inspires me.

Ryan Watson

I led the Green Party of Nova Scotia through the 2009 Provincial General Election. I direct programs and operations at the ALIA Institute. I am a member of the Halifax Shambhala Centre Governance Council.

My work and my passion is to help bring positive change into organizations, communities and societies. Whether it is through hosting leadership development programs, speaking about local food and renewable energy, discussing economic models and alternative currencies, or facilitating group processes, I am striving to make a positive impact on my community and my world. Goodness knows we can use all the positive impact we can muster.

Watson FamilyI live in Halifax with my beautiful wife Shannon and our wonderful daughter Katarina, born in August 2008. Shannon is an artist and teacher, see ShannonRose.ca. She deserves the credit for the header images on these pages, pictures from Nova Scotia, British Columbia and Thailand.
